Freelance work: music videos

role: Art director, script writer and creative director

One of the greatest honors that any creative person can have is to be asked to shoot a music video of an uprising artist. I was tapped by NETRA and her husband within two weeks after wrapping "Adam."

Being able to work with someone who is just as excited to create as you are is a rarity to say the least, and when you have a budget of less than $1K to film the entire video, it gets even more interesting.

I had the chance to roam around a huge Alabama high school for two whole days, reminiscing of my own youth and soaking in the smell of old books.

We completed three total videos for NETRA in less than a year, a series of hard work, staying up for a few days at a time and countless trips for burgers and milkshakes that made it so much fun.

"Adam," a music video filmed in Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, was the focus of a tiny budget of $500 and alot of passionate people who worked extremely well together.

"Adam" was the brainchild of local artist KathyCamejo, who wrote a song about what it must have been like in the mind of Adam after the Garden of Eden. The edgy twist to the lyrics and the rock-centric delivery made it a very popular song among fans. The video went on to win "Best Producer" for the Indie Music Channel Awards.
